solve 2(u+3v)=w-5u
Apr 9th, 2009 Posted in Algebra | no comment »1. Distribute the 2 through the parentheses —> 2u+6v = w-5u
2. Subtract 2u from both sides —-> 6v = w-7u
3. Subtract w from both sides —-> 6v-w = -7u
4. Divide both sides by -7 —–> (6v-w)/-7 = u
u = (w-6v)/7
